Style Lounge at Fashion Week




Tuesday was opening night for the Charleston Fashion Week and all the fashionable people in Charleston came out.  

Once the runway show started it was wonderful and eye opening.   There were many new designers participating in "The Emerging Designer".
These designers are competing to be the next up and coming designer for next year's fashion week.  In my opinion the best designer last night was Veritee Hill.  Her design style is elegant and classic, but with an edge. This combination will take her a very long way in the fashion industry.  Ms. Hill's bold and out of the box designs confirms that she knows how to style a woman's body.  Out of the four emerging designers last night she was the winner and I believe that she will really make an impact on the Chas. fashion scene this season.

Networking vs. Social Climbing

What's the Difference Between Networking and Social Climbing? This is just my opinion, but there's not a lot of difference in the two.  Both take you out of your comfort zone and you have to talk to individuals you have never met, but if you do your introduction correctly then you aren't a social climber you are now a networker.  You may say that this fact isn't true, but I beg to differ with that.  People think a social climber should never be let into the elite circle of friends, but if that some person is networking then the elite will gladly welcome that same person into there circle because now this same person is worthy.  So, you see there's always a way of going up the social ladder without it being a negative in life.....
