Renovating Small Spaces

When renovating a small space you must remember that dark colors will only make the space look even smaller.  You should always get pieces of furniture that will make the room appear larger than it really is.  Your walls should be a lighter color and you baseboards and crown molding should pop this will make the room look longer and taller.  Make sure that the room is a reflection of you and your personality because if it isn't you will never enjoy spending time in it.  And, you renovated the space so that you would be able to enjoy it and show it off to friends and family.  It takes time to figure out how you want the space to look and the pieces of furniture you really want so before you take on the project plan, plan and plan some more.  Because if you don't know where you are going with the renovation you will surely go over the budget.  And, once you have made up your mind don't change it because that will only make the renovation go on longer than you or the contractor planned.  So, get up off that chair and started doing the renovation you've been thinking about for months or even years.

And if you don't know where to started start with the small things that you can do yourselves and then move to the bigger ones that you may need help with.  Don't be afraid to ask for help from your friends and family because most of the time they may know a better or quicker way to get to your goal.  While HAPPY RENOVATING!!!!
